User Agreement

This User Agreement ("Agreement") is a legally binding contract between you ("User", "you") and Vivahsangam, operating the matrimonial platform VivahSangam ("Platform", "we", "us"), registered at Smart Mart, Nawadih, Binod Bihari Chowk, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India — 828306. By registering, accessing, or using VivahSangam in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be fully bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use this Platform.

A. Introduction

VivahSangam is an online matrimonial introduction platform operated by Vivahsangam. Our Platform is designed solely to facilitate introductions between eligible individuals seeking lawful matrimonial alliances. We are not a dating service, escort service, social networking platform, or any form of relationship agency beyond matchmaking introductions.

VivahSangam acts strictly as an intermediary, providing a technology platform for registered users to discover and connect with compatible matrimonial prospects. All final decisions regarding matrimonial alliances, meetings, and relationships remain the sole responsibility of the users and their families. VivahSangam does not guarantee any match, alliance, or successful matrimonial outcome.

B. Eligibility

To register and use VivahSangam, you must meet all of the following criteria:

You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
You must be legally eligible to marry under the laws of India applicable to your religion, community, and personal circumstances.
You must not currently be in a legally valid, undissolved marriage unless you are a widow, widower, or legally divorced individual with appropriate documentation.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable Indian law.
You must not have been previously permanently suspended or banned from VivahSangam or any Vivahsangam platform.
You must be a resident of India or an Indian national residing abroad seeking matrimonial alliances within India.

By registering, you confirm that all eligibility criteria above are satisfied. Providing false eligibility information is grounds for immediate and permanent account termination.

C. Account Rules

One Account Per Person: Each individual is permitted to maintain only one active account on the Platform. Creating multiple accounts, duplicate registrations, or accounts on behalf of another individual without express written consent is strictly prohibited.
Genuine Information Only: All information provided during registration and profile creation — including name, age, date of birth, gender, religion, community, occupation, income, location, and photographs — must be accurate, truthful, and up-to-date. Misrepresentation of any personal detail is a serious violation of this Agreement.
No Fake or Impersonation Profiles: Creating profiles using another person's identity, photographs, or personal information, whether of a real individual or a fictional person, is strictly prohibited and may constitute a criminal offence under applicable Indian law.
Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify VivahSangam immediately at vivahsangamdhanbad@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
Profile Accuracy: You agree to promptly update your profile if any information changes. Maintaining outdated, misleading, or deceptive profile information violates this Agreement.
No Sharing: You must not share your account credentials with any other person or allow third parties to access your account on your behalf.

D. Acceptable Use

By using VivahSangam, you agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose of lawful matrimonial matchmaking. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

Pretending to be unmarried while being in an active, legally valid marriage.
Using the Platform for escort services, prostitution, solicitation, or any form of commercial sexual activity.
Posting, sharing, or transmitting content that promotes religious hatred, communal violence, discrimination, or casteism.
Harassing, threatening, intimidating, abusing, or engaging in unwanted contact with other users.
Engaging in any form of financial fraud, matrimonial scams, cheating, or deceit against other users.
Directly or indirectly demanding, giving, or facilitating dowry transactions, which is illegal under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
Using the Platform to sell goods, services, products, or to conduct any commercial activity unrelated to matrimonial matchmaking.
Sharing or promoting political propaganda, party affiliations, electoral content, or political opinions.
Uploading obscene, explicit, nude, or sexually suggestive photographs or content.
Attempting to access, hack, scrape, or interfere with Platform systems, databases, or other users' accounts.
Using automated bots, scrapers, or any automated systems to access the Platform without authorisation.
Collecting or harvesting personal data of other users for any purpose beyond matrimonial communication.

E. Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of any original content you submit to the Platform, including photographs, bio descriptions, and personal information ("User Content"). By uploading User Content to VivahSangam, you grant Vivahsangam a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and present your User Content to registered users of the Platform solely for the purpose of facilitating matrimonial matchmaking.

This licence does not permit Vivahsangam to sell, commercialise, or distribute your User Content to unaffiliated third parties for advertising or marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

You warrant that all User Content you upload is your own original work, that you have full rights to share it, and that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights. You agree to indemnify Vivahsangam against any claims arising from User Content you have submitted.

All Platform content, design, code, logos, trademarks, and features of VivahSangam are exclusively owned by Vivahsangam. You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Platform content without express written permission.

F. Account Suspension and Termination

Vivahsangam reserves the absolute right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate any user account at any time, with or without prior notice, for any of the following reasons:

Violation of any provision of this User Agreement or any Platform policy.
Submission of false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or in the user profile.
Receipt of multiple credible complaints from other users regarding misconduct, harassment, or fraud.
Engaging in activities that may damage the reputation, integrity, or operations of the Platform.
Any conduct that is illegal, harmful, or contrary to public order or morality under applicable Indian law.
Attempts to manipulate, misuse, or circumvent Platform systems, algorithms, or security measures.
Failure to verify identity or respond to verification requests from VivahSangam's team.
Court orders, legal directions, or requests from law enforcement authorities.

Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Vivahsangam is not obligated to provide reasons for account termination in cases involving fraud, illegal activity, or serious misconduct. Terminated accounts are not entitled to any refund of subscription fees unless otherwise required by law.

Users who believe their account was suspended in error may submit an appeal to vivahsangamdhanbad@gmail.com. Vivahsangam will review such appeals at its sole discretion, and its decision shall be final.

G. Limitation of Liability

VivahSangam is a matrimonial introduction platform only. Vivahsangam does not verify the absolute accuracy of every detail submitted by users, does not conduct police verification, criminal background checks, or financial background checks on registered users, and does not guarantee the character, intentions, or identity of any individual on the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vivahsangam, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

Any loss, damage, harm, fraud, deception, or injury arising from interactions with other users on or off the Platform.
Any consequences arising from matrimonial alliances, meetings, or relationships initiated through the Platform.
Any loss of data, service interruptions, technical failures, or security breaches beyond Vivahsangam's reasonable control.
Any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages of any nature.
Actions taken by third parties, including other users, that cause harm to you.

Users are strongly advised to conduct their own independent background verification, family due diligence, and personal assessment before proceeding with any matrimonial alliance, in-person meeting, or financial commitment. VivahSangam is a tool for introductions — the responsibility for decisions made beyond that lies entirely with the user.

In no event shall Vivahsangam's total liability to any user exceed the amount actually paid by that user for Platform subscription services in the three months preceding the claim.

H. Subscription and Refund Policy

VivahSangam offers both free and paid membership plans. Paid subscriptions — including Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond plans — are offered at the rates published on the Platform at the time of purchase.

All subscription payments are strictly non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
Subscriptions are personal to the registered user and are non-transferable.
Vivahsangam reserves the right to modify subscription pricing and features with reasonable prior notice to users.
In the event of account termination due to policy violations, no refund of any paid subscription amount will be issued.

I. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This User Agreement shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement, including its validity, interpretation, breach, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, India.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, users agree to attempt in good faith to resolve disputes amicably by contacting VivahSangam's support team at vivahsangamdhanbad@gmail.com within 30 days of the dispute arising.

J. Amendments to this Agreement

Vivahsangam reserves the right to modify, update, or replace this User Agreement at any time. Revised versions will be published on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement. Users are encouraged to review this Agreement periodically.
